Recent Kenyan laws
The Gambling Control Act, 2025, came into force on 26th of August 2025.
The Act repeals the long-standing Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act (Cap. 131) and introduces a modern, robust framework for the regulation of gambling activities in the country.
The Conflict of Interest Act, 2025 came into force on 19th of August 2025.
The Act repeals the Public Officer Ethics Act (Cap 185B) and aims at strengthening ethical standards in public service by regulating conflict of interest situations among public officers. Read more
